TELKOM VS GAMING: COMIC CON

After hosting virtually for two years during a global pandemic. Comic Con Africa and its partners needed to come back bigger and better than ever in 2022!

This being the fifth time the festival would take place on South African and even African soil; people were revving to get out and do something they loved.

Being the continent’s largest pop culture and gaming festival, it played host to thousands of fans, gamers and cosplayers, the four-day festival was hosted on 22-25 Sept 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Johannesburg Expo Centre.

Telkom being announced as the official connectivity partner and Telkom VS Gaming being named as the Gaming Hall partner – together brought gaming to life with an unforgettable experience. It was man VS Man and team VS team for the Telkom VS Masters, Championships, eDiski and HSEL finals hosted live from Comic Con.

2022 was filled with online rounds, qualifiers, and playoffs, profiled across Telkom VS Gaming social channels including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This all lead up to a live four day final on the Telkom VS Gaming Tournament Stage at Comic Con Africa.

The intense four days of gaming, was documented on social media by the Levergy game day war room, streamed live on Twitch and filmed for the VS Gaming Weekly Show Season 2 on SABC.
