Energade are the only corporate involved with four national teams. As a proudly South African brand that has over twenty years of combined sponsorship heritage across the Springboks, Bafana Bafana, The Spar Proteas and Banyana Banyana, they wanted to make the most of a bumper year that saw all four teams involved in major tournaments.

The solution was a campaign they shone a spotlight on the functional and authentic role the product plays in the performance of the teams as well as the emotional connection these teams have with South African’s when they represent the country at continental and global showcases.


Whether it’s magical moments from the past inspiring our current athletes or their debut at the event, our creative hinged around the potential heroics of our athletes and teams at the blockbusters around the world, fuelled by Energade. After all, it all ultimately comes down to what you put in.

A unique lead commercial was created for each team and flighted in the buildup for the events as well as in broadcast packages.

Social content and op-eds was a focus for preparation and reactions to heroic moments in real time as we capitalized.
