Sports marketing agency Levergy have been appointed by SuperSport for a real time content creation campaign throughout the course of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.

The campaign will see the communications arm of the agency, Levergy Pulse, working together with the social media team from SuperSport over a select group of key World Cup matches to deliver real time content to their social media communities. The campaign is focused on real time engagement with their 5.5 million-strong communities across their various social platforms.

Levergy Strategic Director Struan Campbell explained the thinking behind the campaign: “The best work is always based on solid insights. We know that sports fans are engaging with their second screen more and more during live events and as a broadcaster, SuperSport want to deliver an augmented experience to their live feed. These two insights create the potential for some really innovative work that can be delivered to a large social community. We are also cognisant of SuperSport’s massive continental following on social platforms and will provide tailored content to service those communities.”
