AUDI BATTING MASTERCLASS 2017

SIMPLE

For the second edition of Audi’s Batting Masterclass, the brand upped the ante through improved creative, interaction, mechanics, production and the incorporation of the Nelson Mandela foundation to raise funds.

A unique exhibition between three of the Proteas’ most skilled batsmen on the Clifton Oval, with Table Mountain as the backdrop.

They were given 6 overs (including a bonus Power Play over) to accumulate as many runs as possible by hitting the designated targets on display in order to see who would be crowned the master.

CREATIVE

Clifton High School’s cricket field was used. Private groundsmen swept in to improve the field to Proteas standards and an astro pitch was custom built for the event so that the batsmen were hitting out towards the ocean.

David Miller (T20), Chris Morris (ODI) and Temba Bavuma (Test) interacted with the crowd, as well as MC, Matthew Pierce and Proteas Batting Coach Neil Mckenzie, as we looked to find out which player would be best suited to the challenge.

The audience watched from a custom built hospitality area on the field and had the opportunity to test drive the new R8 and RS7.

The activation was filmed and packaged into a content piece and distributed to SuperSport.
